Requirements for a Tourist Visa

  • Photograph (white Background)
  • Passport / Certificate / Travel Doc. a minimum validity of 6 month and Australia Visa (if require)

  • Airline e-ticket only (Not valid for booking confirmations or itineraries)
  • Driver's License , Or Telephone Bill Or Utilities Bill
  • Hotel Booking receipt /Confirmed Accommodation in Thailand: Or "If staying with someone: Letter from host and Copy of host's ID

Requirements for a One-Year Thai Visa

Eligibility

  • 50 years and over
  • Having no criminal record in Thailand and Australia
  • Having the nationality of or permanent residence in the Australia
  • Not having prohibitive diseases ( Leprosy, Tuberculosis, drug addiction, Elephantiasis, third phase of Syphilis)
Not prohibited from entering the Kingdom as provided by the Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979).

Required Document
(Please check relevant embassy/consulate's website for specifically required documents)

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
  3. Proof of the permanent residence in the country where the application is submitted
  4. Financial evidence showing monthly income of no less than 65,000 THB or having the current balance of 800,000 THB, e.g. bank statements, proof of earnings
  5. A medical certificate issued from the country where the application is submitted, showing no prohibitive diseases as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14 (B.E. 2535) (certificate shall be valid for not more than three months)
  6. Foreign Insurance Certificate as stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and Health Insurance of Thailand, which must be completed, signed and stamped by the insurance company. The form can be downloaded from https://longstay.tgia.org
  7. Health Insurance issued by a Thai or foreign insurer for general illnesses, including COVID-19, with the insured sum of no less than 100,000 USD or 3,000,000 THB
  8. Certificate of criminal record clearance from the country of nationality or the country where the application is submitted

Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme Period of Stay 30Days

Passport holders from Australia, along with other eligible countries, are allowed to enter Thailand for tourism purposes for up to 30 days without a visa under the visa exemption scheme.

Holders of diplomatic, official, and ordinary passports from specific countries can enter Thailand Visa exemption for tourism purposes and stay for up to 30 days. Visa exemptions 90 Days

This exemption allows them to stay for up to 90 days.

However, Thailand also has bilateral agreements with these countries that offer visa-free entry for holders of diplomatic, official, and ordinary passports for visits up to 30 Days for HONG KONG and VIETNAM and 90 days for BRAZIL, KOREA (ROK) or PERU

Single Entry Visa:

Single Entry Visa will be valid for 3 months from the date of issue. You must enter Thailand within the validity of your visa. For Tourist Visa, the permitted length of stay is up to 60 days from the date of arrival in Thailand.

Nationals of countries that are on Thailand’s Tourist Visa Exemption list or have bilateral agreements on visa exemption with Thailand will be permitted to stay for a period of not exceeding 14, 30, or 90 days (please click on the list for more details).

Nationals from other countries who hold a tourist visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 60 days.

For a Non-Immigrant Visa, the permitted length of stay is up to 90 days from the date of arrival in Thailand.

Multiple Entries Visa:

Multiple Entries Tourist Visa will be valid for 6 months from the date of issue. Travellers must enter Thailand within the validity of the visa, and they will be permitted to stay in Thailand not exceeding 60 days for each entry within the period of 6 months from the date of arrival in Thailand.

Multiple Entries Non-Immigrant Visa will be valid for 1 year from the date of issue. Travellers must enter Thailand within the validity of their visa. However, the permitted length of stay is up to 1 year from the date of arrival in Thailand.

Travellers should carefully check the immigration stamps in the passports regarding the exact length of stay to ensure that they do not overstay their visas. Penalty for overstay is a fine of 500 baht per day and a blacklist for entry ban for at least 5 years.

When entering the Kingdom of Thailand, please be mindful of the last day on your stay permit and DO NOT stay longer than the permitted date.

Airlines may ask you to provide VISA details in order to allow you to board the plane.

Arrivals

Upon arriving in Thailand, Show your e-VISA and passport to the immigration officer. After getting the stamp, immediately check the visa stamp in your passport. This stamp clearly shows the last date you are permitted to stay in the conuntry.

60 days VISA Conuting from the date of Entry

Foreigners will be fined if they overstay in Thailand for less than 90 days. The fine depends on the number of days the foreigners have overstayed. The minimum charge is 500 Baht per day but does not exceed 20,000 baht in total. If the foreigners pay the fine before departure, they will not be banned for entering Thailand in the following visit.

Nevertheless, If you overstay for more than 90 days, you will be deported from Thailand and banned from visiting for a certain period of time. The length of the ban depends on how long you have overstayed your visa

EXTENSION OF STAY

Those who wish to stay longer or may wish to change their type of visa must file an application for permission at the Office of Immigration Bureau located on Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210, Tel 0-2141-9889 (or at http://www.immigration.go.th ). The extension of stay as well as the change of certain type of visa is solely at the discretion of the Immigration office

Extension can be processed at Local Immigration offices in THAILAND

Extension is possible of another 31 Days, with Maximum period of stay of 90 Days, Counting from the Date of Entry.
