AM Holiday Travel Pty Ltd is a fully licensed, privately owned and personally operated travel agency in Perth, Western Australia. We opened our doors in 2010 and have been booking travel for the Thai–Australian community ever since — sixteen years of airfares, visa paperwork and last-minute problems solved.
Our office is in the Northbridge end of the city, a short walk from the Perth CBD. The team is Thai and Australian, and we work in both languages — in person at the counter, on the phone, by email and on LINE. That is the whole point of the business. Almost everything our clients need sits across two countries and two sets of rules at once: an airfare booked in Australia for a trip that starts in Bangkok, a Thai document that an Australian government department will only accept in certified translation, a permanent residency renewal that has to be lodged before the family flies out. We work on both sides of that line every day.

Flights are our core business. We ticket through Amadeus and Sabre, the same global distribution systems the airlines and corporate travel departments use, which lets us build itineraries a public search page cannot: multi-city routings through Bangkok, Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, fares with the change and baggage conditions a real trip needs, group and family bookings held together on one record, and student fares built around semester dates.
Every passenger name is checked against the passport before we issue a ticket, because a misspelled name on an international itinerary is expensive to unwind and easy to prevent. And when a flight is cancelled, a schedule moves or a connection collapses at 11pm Perth time, you are calling a consultant who already has your booking open — not a queue in another hemisphere.
We prepare and lodge Thailand visa applications for Australian passport holders and for other nationalities living in Western Australia. Most of the value is in the first conversation: working out which visa category actually fits the trip you are planning, what supporting evidence the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate expects to see, and what the current entry rules are for your nationality — before you pay for anything or book a flight around the wrong assumption. We then check the file page by page before it is submitted.
How long can you stay without a visa? Australian passport holders currently receive a visa exemption of 30 days on arrival in Thailand, reduced from the 60 days granted between 2024 and 2026. If your trip is longer than 30 days — a season with family, an extended stay with elderly parents, a long service leave trip — you need a visa arranged before you fly, and it is far easier to organise from Perth than to extend once you are there. Thai entry rules change with little notice, so please confirm the current position with Thai Immigration or the Royal Thai Embassy before you book, or ask us and we will check it for your specific passport and travel dates.
For Thai clients renewing Australian permanent residency, inviting parents or family to visit, or enrolling to study, the paperwork is usually the hard part — and almost all of it starts as a Thai document that has to be presented in a form an Australian department will accept. That is the work we do: assembling the supporting document pack, obtaining originals and certified copies from Thailand where they are needed, and producing NAATI-certified English translations of every Thai document in the file, with names, dates and spellings consistent from the first page to the last. Residency renewals in particular have a habit of being remembered a fortnight before a booked departure — bring it to us early and it is a straightforward job.
Hotels, transfers and holiday packages across Thailand — Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai and the islands — plus golf tours and tailored itineraries for families travelling with older parents or young children. We book properties we know or have inspected through partners we have worked with for years, and we build the ground arrangements around the flights rather than leaving you to reconcile the two.
We arrange Thai police clearance certificates for Thai nationals and for foreign nationals who have lived in Thailand — the document routinely required for visa applications, permanent residency, citizenship, adoption, and employment screening. Applying from Australia involves fingerprinting, correctly certified identity documents and a submission to the Royal Thai Police in Bangkok. We manage the sequence so the file is not returned for a technicality months later.
Certified translation of Thai documents by NAATI-accredited translators, in the format Australian government departments, universities and employers accept: house registration (ทะเบียนบ้าน), Thai identity card, birth certificate, marriage and divorce certificates, name-change certificates, academic records, and hospital or medical certificates. Translations are prepared alongside whatever application they are for, so the wording and the spelling of names match the rest of your file — a small detail that causes a surprising number of rejections when it is handled by two unconnected suppliers.
We arrange travel insurance and consider it essential rather than optional, particularly for older travellers and for anyone connecting through multiple countries — a single medical evacuation from a Thai island costs more than most people expect. Alongside that we look after airport transfers, seat and meal requests, currency and airport information, and the practical questions that come up before departure.
Plenty of agencies will sell you a ticket to Bangkok. Far fewer can tell you why the 6:00am domestic connection to Krabi is a bad idea in the wet season, which Thai documents an Australian visa officer will query, or how a Songkran booking behaves when the whole country moves at once.
